It’s been almost a month since tornadoes tore through southeast Nebraska leaving hundreds homeless. That is when FEMA stepped in to help out the communities.

James Shebl of FEMA says just because the Cortland center is closing doesn't mean victims are still left in the dark. He says they can still seek help by calling 1-800-621-FEMA.

Shebl says the center is closing because they have helped almost everyone in the towns hit by the tornadoes and the number of applicants have dropped.
