Not sure how you'll be spending the Fourth of July holiday?

Well, if you live in the cities of Lincoln, Grand Island, Hastings, or Seward, why not catch the free fireworks display?

Lincolnites can begin the festivities with a Sand volleyball and softball tournament at Holmes Lake Park at. The events begin at 9 a.m., and last until 8 p.m.

The following day you can wake up to the fun run, held at Haymarket Park at 7 a.m. There will be events throughout the rest of the day ending at 10 p.m. with the fireworks display.

Those living in the city of Seward can start celebrating as early as July 2. The city will host an open house of the new Seward Memorial Library at 9 a.m.

Festivities continue throughout the week until the fireworks display at Plum Creek Park beginning around 10 p.m.

The city of Hastings will have vendors and food sales at Brick Yard Park beginning at 5:30 p.m. on the fourth. Fireworks will be shot off from the same location at 9:30 p.m.

Finally, if you live in Grand Island, you have one of two options. You can go to Fonner Park for a fireworks show at 9:45 p.m. or the Veterans Home Capitol Avenue at 9:30 p.m.

So whether you're planning to spend the day in the pool or cooking by the grill, there are plenty of chances to celebrate our nation’s independence.
