"Motorcycle groups in the Lincoln area decided to all get together and do a fundraiser for Hallam" says Randy Neemer of Roughriders.
Bikers from surrounding areas met up Sunday morning at Legends Bar on 84th and Holdredge for the poker run.
"We start here, this will be between 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. We go from here to Raymond, from Raymond to Denton and from Denton to Cortland." says Rich Jones of Roughriders.
The run ended at the Cortland Bar where live music, a buffet, and a silent auction took place.
"Well we were just listening to the band and had a few drinks and went around and seen the silent auctions and I bid for something." says Yvette Sculley, a wife of a rider who attended.
Around 200 bikes ran in the event. Those who planned the run were worried about the turnout with the morning weather, but the clouds cleared for a wonderful ride.
Dave Taylor of Hallam says this is the first run he has been on since the tornadoes tore through his town, " [It] means the world to me, it takes all the hurt away, its like, America is a good place to live."
