Iraqis are the leaders of their own country now, will it be safer?

Clarence Wattier is a father of two soldiers in Iraq who says this is a good move; "It’s a good idea because Iraqi people take pride in what they do just as we would over here."

Wattier believes this will promote patriotism in the new Iraq, and perhaps it will make the environment over there a little safer.

"I think you accomplish more when you do stuff for yourself if they start doing something for themselves, I think they will start moving along a lot faster," says Wattier.

As for the work of his two sons, he says he's proud of them and says they've done a lot to make life better for the Iraqis, "Down the road, they will be able to tell their kids about what they did."
