Eicher Enters Diversion Program

A public indecency charge against the Superintendent of Milford Public Schools has been dismissed after he entered pre-trial diversion.

Douglas Eicher, 50, had pleaded not guilty, but the charge was dismissed last week according to Lancaster County court documents.

A message left by the Associated Press at Eicher's office seeking comment was not immediately returned.

Eicher was arrested in Wilderness Park after he allegedly initiated sexual contact with an undercover officer as police conducted an undercover operation in the park.

Board vice president Karen Stauffer says the board scheduled a special executive session for Wednesday night to talk about Eicher.

Pre-trial diversion is a probation-like program available for first time defendants who are facing certain eligible offenses.
