Johanns-Senate

By: Associated Press

Governor Mike Johanns should stop playing games when it comes to talking about a possible run for the Senate in 2006.

That is what a spokesman for Senator Ben Nelson says.

Johanns says he is considering running against Nelson for the Senate seat in 2006. Wednesday Johanns said that he will make up his mind next year, but he believes Nelson is beatable.

Nelson spokesman David DiMartino says Johanns is walking and talking like a candidate.

DiMartino says, quote, "He should be honest about it instead of playing this game."

DiMartino says Nelson will be proud to defend his record regardless of who runs against him.
