Nebraska City police say a 24-year-old man has been booked on suspicion of second degree murder in a car-pedestrian incident that killed 34-year-old Anthony Adkins of Nebraska City.
Police Chief William Muldoon says Craig Wright of Nebraska City is scheduled in Otoe County Court Friday to face official charges.
Police, the Otoe County Sheriff's Office and Nebraska State Patrol continue their investigation into the Monday night death.
Investigators were told by witnesses who had attended a party prior to the death that there may have been an altercation at the party between Adkins and others.
Police say the collision occurred shortly after Adkins, Wright and three passengers in Wright's car left the party.
