Congressman Tom Osborne and state Senator Ernie Chambers are joining forces against expanded gambling.

A letter co-written by two of the state's most famous personalities is being circulated.

In the letter, Osborne and Chambers say they share a deep concern for all families in Nebraska.

They say they oppose casinos and slot machines due to the devastating, negative impact they have on individuals and society at large.

They say it would be an error to allow "predatory out-of-state gambling interests to invade Nebraska, buy the election and alter in a negative way, the quality of life in this state forever."

They end the letter by imploring Nebraskans to reject expanded gambling on the November 2 ballot.
