Lincoln Police have arrested three men in connection with a home invasion robbery early this morning.

Lincoln police officer Katie Flood says officers were called to 613 South 19th Street, Apartment 6, just after 3 a.m. Neighbors said they had seen a man entering the apartment with a gun.

Flood says when officers arrived on the scene, they found Rene Branch, 25, walking out of the apartment with a television. Officers then found Robert Murray, 19, and Bobby McMillian, 20, inside the apartment. Flood says there were three victims also in the apartment with Murray and McMillian.

Flood says all three men-- Branch, Murray and McMillian-- have been arrested for Robbery and Use of a Weapon to Commit a Felony. All three men are from Omaha. Flood says Erin Hilsabeck, 18, was also arrested in the case. Flood says one of the three suspects paid Hilsabeck $50 to drive the men to Lincoln. She was arrested for being an Accessory to a Class II Felony - Robbery.

In the residence where the HIR happened, while processing the crime scene, LPD found crack cocaine, marijuana, and ecstasy pills, and the robbers didn't bring that and leave it. I don't think I have to spell it out, but I will: They didn't drive 50 miles just to steal a TV, but to steal something else, something that wasn't legal. You might not want the "victims" in your neighborhoods either. The TV was just a "while we're, let's take that too" target of opportunity. Landlords need to make tenant applicants pay for a criminal record check before they let them rent a place.

Animals like these 3 guys need to be told (shown) in no uncertain terms that they are not welcome in our neighborhoods or our cities for that matter. Lincoln is sounding more and more like north Omaha every day.
