Ohio State University says an employee opened fire at a maintenance building, killing a co-worker and wounding another. The suspect also was wounded and is in custody.
No students were injured in the shooting early Tuesday, and the school says classes are being held as scheduled.
University Police Chief Paul Denton says one worker is hospitalized in critical condition and another is in stable condition. The third employee was pronounced dead at the scene.
The university says the shooting involved its facilities department and that the suspect is one of the two wounded workers, but it did not say which one. A university spokesman, Jim Lynch, declined further comment.
Denton says investigators are trying to determine a motive.

Not possible, because firearms are not allowed on college campuses in Ohio. "Dangerous weapons or devices Use, storage, or possession of dangerous weapons or devices including, but not limited to, firearms, ammunition, or fireworks unless authorized by an appropriate university official or permitted by a university policy, even if otherwise permitted by law."
