Lincoln Police say another batch of live marijuana plants have been confiscated after the search of a home at 415 North 32nd. And, a man arrested in a marijuana grow operation earlier this week is believed to be connected to the latest discovery.

You'll recall on Wednesday, March 10th, Lincoln police served a search warrant at a home on 1921 Connie Road in South Lincoln. More than 1,700 marijuana plants were found growing in the home. Lincoln police officer Katie Flood says 34-year-old Tham Cao was arrested for Manufacturing a Controlled Substance.

Flood says during the investigation, officers found a checkbook, and utility bills in Cao's name inside the home. Cao, who does not live there, was located leaving a home on 415 North 32nd. Through a Crimestoppers tip, this address was identified as another possible site for a marijuana growing operation. Search warrants were issued, and investigators found 1,403 live marijuana plants at the North 32nd street address, along with fertilizer, scales and grow lights. Flood says at Cao's actual home address of 1606 Torreys Drive, police discovered more than a pound of harvested marijuana and a significant amount of cash.

You may remember, Lincoln police arrested five men after marijuana growing operations were discovered at three Lincoln homes this past weekend. Officer Flood says the cases from the weekend, and the two cases this week, are connected. "They all have the same sophisticated manner of operation," Flood says. "Including bypassing electrical systems and installing duct work and ventilation to increase the growth of the plants."

Again, Tham Cao is the 6th individual arrested for involvement in these marijuana growing operations.
