Lincoln, NE-- Saturday was a big night for the Team Jack Foundation with their first gala: A Night To Inspire.
Since the foundation started in 2013, they have raised over $1 million for pediatric brain cancer. Hundreds of people continue to fight for Jack and others who are battling cancer.
Andy Hoffman said pediatric brain cancer is rare and is not a main focus for national cancer research. That’s why he is relying on the community for support, saying the community is critical for defeating the cancer and this is the place where the war is won.
Jack Hoffman, 8, is using his story to help others who are fighting the battle and hopes to raise awareness and money for a cure.
Hoffman says they are taking a leap and putting their best foot forward. They are not setting a limit to how much they want to raise, but hope to spread a bigger message.
“Educate the people where the money goes and where the money is going,” Hoffman said.
