A Trip Down the Niobrara River

It's heating up outside, and you might be looking for a way to cool off. Here's a great idea! Take a canoe trip down Nebraska's Niobrara River.

In this report we recently featured on Pure Nebraska, Jon Vanderford takes the video while Brad Anderson and Taryn Vanderford take to the water.

The Niobrara has been designated as a National Scenic River, so there are places where there are restrictions on canoeing, but that provides a more pristine view of the river.

There are also areas of the river where tubing and large crowds often gather. It's a river that's been running through time and continues to entertain and amaze visitors.

Duane Gudgel is talking about how the river is great for beginners. It's shallow, and moves at a manageable pace.
