A Crete area man is in intensive care following a rollover accident.

According to Seward County Sheriff's Deputy Ron Down, just before 10pm Friday, authorities were called to West Denton Road just west of NW 140th, near Pleasant Dale.

Down said the Ford SUV was traveling west when it lost control and rolled over.

The SUV ended up on its wheels, in a field, on the south side of the road.

Fire crews from Pleasant Dale, Midwest Medical Transport and StarCare responded to the crash and extricated the driver before he was flown to Bryan West for treatment.

His condition was unavailable, but the driver was last known to be in intensive care.

The seat belt does not appear to have been in use at the time of the crash and alcohol is suspected as a contributing factor.
