LINCOLN, Neb.-- Another independent has qualified for the November ballot in Nebraska's U.S. Senate race.
The secretary of state's office confirms that Todd Watson has submitted enough valid signatures to appear on the ballot with Republican Ben Sasse, Democrat Dave Domina and independent Jim Jenkins.
The four are running to replace U.S. Sen. Mike Johanns, who isn't seeking re-election.
Watson submitted nearly 5,400 signatures. At least 4,000 valid signatures were required, with at least 750 of those signatures coming from each of Nebraska's three congressional districts.
He is a Lincoln businessman.
