Another crash at a busy Lincoln intersection raises concerns for neighbors.
Just after 10 pm. Thursday, emergency crews were called to S. 56th Street and Normal Blvd. for a two car crash.
Police at the scene said one driver was heading west and the other heading north when the cars collided in the intersection. One driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital.
Neighbors near the busy intersection said they are getting concerned about the intersection because they believe there has been an increase in the number of crashes there over the last few months.
One neighbor said they have seen it all in the past years. Some cars have even passed through their yard. Fortunately, no one has hit the house which has a bedroom right near the intersection.
"It seems like we are having two accidents every week rather than every month and I don't know why," said one neighbor.
Lincoln Police were not able to come up with any statistics for the number of crashes at that intersection.
