University Police have arrested a woman in connection with several thefts.

According to University of Nebraska Police Sergeant Zachary Byers, 26-year-old Mi Seon Lee was contacted during a separate investigation. Police soon connected Lee to a series of thefts.

Through cooperation with Campus Rec staff, police were able to arrest Lee on the thefts.

Byers said several thefts had been reported in the City Campus Rec Center in the 900 block of N. 14th Street. Most of the reported thefts, dating back to June 2012, came from the women's locker room area.

According to Byers, recovered items include a couple of laptop computers, an iPad and smartphones, clothing and shoes, wallets, and purses.

A vast majority of cases involved putting items into a locker without using a lock.

Lee was cited for 24 misdemeanor counts and lodged in jail for three felony counts of Theft by Unlawful Taking.

The University Police Department is still working on this case. They have recovered many items which haven't been claimed or reported stolen. Officials are attempting to contact potential owners and encourage anyone missing items to contact UNL PD at 402-472-2222 to file a report.
