Twenty-one year old Jonathan Anania, of Lincoln, has posted bond and is out of jail. That's according to the Lancaster County Jail.

Anania is facing charges after he allegedly used red, green, white and black spray paint to write messages such as "money is a lie" and "practice sustainability" on walls, fences and trash bins around downtown Lincoln.

Police believe the vandalisms happened late Monday into Tuesday.

At Sandy's Bar in Lincoln, owner Mike Tucker showed 1011 News their own security video of his business being vandalized in the wee morning hours Tuesday.

"I was pretty upset," Tucker said.

Officers checked the security system at the U-Stop on South 10th Street after they discovered graffiti on a statue at the Law Enforcement Center.

Through surveillance video, police learned Anania bought a drink at the convenience store before walking across the street to the Enforcement Center.

Officers say he was wearing a very distinctive backpack in the video. Police showed the images to other officers on duty, Tuesday.

One officer spotted Anania wearing the backpack Near 10th and Rose later that day.

"In searching the man's backpack, we found five cans of spray paint, matching the same colors as what was used during those vandalisms. The 21-year-old man was brought down to the station for questioning and ultimately lodged in jail," said Officer Katie Flood.

Police say Anania faces 21 counts of vandalism.

Below is a list of some the locations targeted.
