The UNL campus had a special visitor Monday. Actor Adam West played Batman in the 1960's TV series and made a special visit to UNL's Nebraska bookstore to sign autographs and help students find the best deals on textbook rentals and school supplies.

West is the celebrity spokesperson for Neebo, the company that owns the bookstore.

West is also known for lending his voice to TV shows like Family guy and The Simpsons. 10/11's John Haxby asked West he hopes the fans will take away after meeting him.

"Honesty and perseverance in whatever they do. And the ability to listen to others in a civil manner. That's all," said West.

He also hosted a free event at the Rococo Theatre, where he gave fans a behind-the-scenes look at his acting career over the years.
