Battle of the Beards to Help People's City Mission

Starting Feb. 1, West Gate Bank employees will let their facial hair grow out to help the People's City Mission in Lincoln.

Men will let their facial hair grow for 28 days from Feb. 1 to Feb. 28. Women are also being encouraged to participate by creating a bearded photo of themselves during the same time. Each participant will be collect donations and votes, and proceeds will benefit the People's City Mission.

"What a wonderful thing to do, just a great opportunity to support homelessness and have a lot of fun," said People's City Mission Executive Director, Pastor Tom Barber. "They're really going to be helping people in desperate need, especially during the winter months."
