The Blue Hill community gathered to remember another life cut too short.
Family and friends said goodbye to the fourth and final victim of the semi/bus crash that occurred on Sept. 5. They celebrated the life of Blue Hill Community Schools senior Dustin Tesdahl at Calvary Lutheran Church in Rosemont, where he was a member of the congregation.
About 400 people attended the funeral service, including both Dustin's biological and foster parents. The church was so packed that nearly 100 people had to listen to the service from the lawn.
In a service filled with prayers and songs, the community remembered an 18-year-old who loved reading about World War II and spent his free time volunteering at the YMCA. Dustin's grandfather told 10/11 News that his grandson was a wonderful and happy kid who loved everyone.
Dustin will be laid to rest Thursday morning at Parkview Cemetery in Hastings.
