Body Found Near 23rd and Cornhusker

The body of a man was discovered Friday evening. Authorities have confirmed his identity as that of 44-year-old Michael Austin.
Just south of 25th and Judson Streets, a body was found next to Salt Creek.
Police report the a man walking through the area discovered the body of a black man in his 40's.
Police removed the body from an area where many homeless have set up tents near the Natural Resources District land.
The cause of death is not known at this time. Police do not suspect foul play but will investigate further.
An autopsy is scheduled for Saturday morning.
