The Lincoln Children's Zoo Hosts Boo at the Zoo

Boo at the Zoo at Lincoln Children's Zoo begins Friday and continues through Tuesday, Oct. 30th.

It allows children and their families to walk around the grounds of the zoo and trick or treat at various booths.

Boo at the Zoo began with just four booths a few decades ago. Today, there are more than 40 booths that have been set up by local businesses.

The booths are manned by costumed volunteers who hand out candy and greet the children and their parents.

The event runs from Friday through Tuesday night from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m.

Tickets are available for purchase each night of the event.

Boo at the Zoo is Lincoln Children's Zoo's largest fundraiser of the year. The money raised helps feed and care the animals during the winter months.

Be sure to visit the 10/11 News booth at the event. 10/11 News has a table set up right next to the entrance and will be at the event every night.

Due to road construction near Antelope Park and "A" Street, parking for Boo at the Zoo has been changed.

Star Tran will have free shuttles available for transport to and from Lincoln High School, Q.P. Ace Hardware and Ideal Grocery.

Click on the picture slideshow to see the StarTran pickup locations and parking recommendations. The main zoo parking lot is also available.

Parking is available at Antelope Park but due to the construction some sidewalks in and around the area may not be accessible.
The zoo recommends avoiding this area if possible.
