NebraskaLand National Bank plans to help the Buffalo County Korean War Hero Flight take off. NebraskaLand National Bank will host a Barbecue Fundraiser for the flight on Sunday, April 27 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
The bank says a hot dog or hamburger lunch will be provided at the Kearney Branch location of NebraskaLand National Bank, located at 46th St. and 2nd Ave., for a free will donation to the Buffalo County Hero Flight. The Bank will match up to $1,000 of the funds raised on that day.
The Buffalo County Korean War Hero Flight provides 25 veterans and their escorts the opportunity to visit Washington D.C. and its historic monuments. The veterans will head to Omaha on June 4 to fly out on June 5. Their stay will last until June 7 with all expenses for the veteran paid, including meals, hotel rooms, flights and bus rides.
