Lincoln CVS Robbed, Threatened With Possible Bomb

Lincoln police are searching for a man who robbed a CVS pharmacy on 70th and O St. early Saturday morning.

Captain Jim Davidsaver said they received a call around 6:45 a.m. that a man came into the CVS and demanded drugs from the pharmacist on staff. The pharmacist claims the suspect also lifted up his shirt and said he had a bomb. The pharmacist said the man had a device strapped with wires strapped to his chest.

Witnesses on scene told police they saw the man head westbound on foot.

A neighborhood search for the suspect was unsuccessful.

The suspect got away with an unknown amount of drugs. He's described as a white male, about 6 feet tall, skinny build, and wearing a black sweater or sweatshirt over a white t-shirt. Police say he was also seen wearing sunglasses, gloves and something covering his face..

Police are still searching for the suspect.
