Car Destroyed by Fire Just Minutes After Being Purchased

A car is destroyed just a few minutes and a few miles after being purchased.
Just after 7:30 Thursday evening, Waverly Fire was sent to Interstate 80 at mile marker 407 or about two miles west of the Waverly interchange for a car fire.
Crews arrived to find a car fully involved in flames.
The car had been purchased earlier in the day, from the auction lot next to the Waverly interchange.
The car is a total loss and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
