Car Fire Ruled as Arson

Lincoln Police are trying to track down the owner of a car that someone set on fire.

Officers were sent to 24th and U street at 4:30 Wednesday morning when neighbors reported a loud bang coming from the ally.

A 1998 Subaru was fully engulfed in flames. Lincoln Fire and Rescue had the fire out in minutes. Investigators ruled the cause of fire as arson.

Police say the car is registered to a Sioux City man. They are trying to track him down to find out if the car was stolen.

Police say there are not witnesses to the events that led up to the fire.
