Update: Sun Valley Blvd Reopened After Two Separate Accidents
Crews are on the scene of a muli-car accident on Sun Valley Blvd. near Westgate Shopping Center.
It happened around 3:15pm Wednesday. Lincoln Police Captain Jim Davidsaver said two separate crashes occurred, which caused authorities to shut-down Sun Valley Blvd.
The first he said involved two cars at the intersection of Wesgate Blvd. and Sun Valley Blvd.
When 10/11 arrived on scene a silver car was in the ditch and a tow-truck took it away. The front driver's side door was smashed in.
Capt. Davidsaver said one person had minor injuries.
Capt. Davidsaver said the other accident happened as a result of the first crash and was a minor fender bender. He said one of the three cars involved in the accident actually drove away.
Sun Valley Blvd southbound was closed between Line Drive and Victory Lane. It was closed for about 30 minutes and reopened around 4:00pm.
