An Omaha man is facing multiple citations for a car crash that forced the shutdown of power throughout the town of Roca.
Hickman Rural Fire Chief Stan Draper said the call came in after 11 Sunday night.
When crews arrived they learned a Jeep Commander had struck a building twice then smashed through a retaining wall and snapped a power pole before getting airborne spinning and hitting a tree.
Fire officials said the debris from the wall and parts from the Jeep may have caused many broken windows in a nearby bank.
The sign about 20 feet above the main entrance to the bank was destroyed.
Emergency crews found the driver, 26-year-old Darcey Young of Omaha walking around at the accident scene.
Young refused to submit to an alcohol test and was cited for careless driving, refusal to submit to an alcohol test, DUI and driving with no proof of insurance.
Power to the entire town had to be turned off to repair the pole.
