Many gathered to celebrate their heritage and learn about their ancestors at the Genoa Indian School Reunion this weekend.
It's the 23rd year of the celebration, honoring students that attended the Genoa School. The 43 Tribal Nations that had students attend sent flags or seals representing Tribal identities.
Among the celebrations events, was a performance by the WO-XETE-HIRE Winnebago Nation Student Dancers, many of who are descendants of the school's former students.
