Most of the folks who came to the People's City Mission for a Christmas meal on Sunday were not technically related, but according to one man, those he dined with are his "family."
Darren Gillihan has his own definition of family. He says "family is the most important thing in life. They're there for you through thick and thin. It's your family it doesn't mean blood but everyone who cares about you is family. I've met a lot of people here. They're family too."
Darren Gillihan says after a brush with the law, he's looking for a second chance this year with his biological family.
The People's City Mission serves a traditional Christmas dinner every year.
This year's holiday feast included turkey, ham, green beans, mashed potatoes, green salad and a choice of holiday pies.
