The driver of a livestock truck had a close call Monday evening. His semi ended up half on, half off Interstate 29 just north of downtown Omaha.
A witness, Zach Swanger, provided a picture of the scene.
It appears the semi climbed onto the concrete wall of a bridge over Avenue G and straddled it across the bridge to the other side.
The semi was northbound and appeared to be empty of cargo.
Swanger says he immediately went to help the driver who appeared to be okay.
The Iowa Department of Roads reported the traffic as “stop & go” for several hours.
