Authorities are now searching for a man who did not return to community corrections.
Authorities say 37-year-old Joseph Skeeter left the community corrections on W. Van Dorn Street about 6:00 Thursday morning to search for a job.
According to Community Corrections Spokesman James Foster, Skeeter did not return by 6:00 p.m. as scheduled.
Just before 10:00 p.m. he was listed as an escapee from the prison system, which sparks all law enforcement to be on the lookout.
Skeeter is described as a white man, 6'4" and 177 lbs. He is currently sentenced to prison for burglary, aiding and abetting and possession of a controlled substance- methamphetamine.
Foster said inmates have to work hard and perform well to earn the privilege to be approved for the community corrections, or more commonly, the work release program.
Anyone who sees Joseph Skeeter should call 911.
