Several crews are on scene working to extinguish a fire at a Lincoln landfill.
Just after 6 a.m. Monday, Lincoln Fire and Rescue responded to the Bluff Road Landfill at 6001 Bluff Road on reports of a fire.
Initial reports indicate a composting pile of yard waste started on fire.
Plumes of smoke in northeast Lincoln can be seen for miles.
Several crews are on scene working to extinguish the fire.
