Cyclist Injured in Crash on Vine Street

Lincoln Police are investigating a pickup versus bicycle accident at 48th and Vine Streets.

Just after 6:00 a.m. Saturday, Lincoln Fire and Rescue and Lincoln Police were called the crash.

Officials at the scene said the truck was traveling west and according to the truck driver and witnesses, had a green light.

The northbound cyclist crossed Vine in the crosswalk against the light and was struck by the pickup.

The woman riding the bike suffered minor injuries and was transported to Bryan LGH Medical Center West to be treated.

The Schwinn bike is totaled. The pickup was driven from the crash after police conducted their investigation.
