December DUI Busts Nearly Double Compared to Last Year

Ten days into the You Drink, You Drive, You Lose campaign, police are seeing more drunk drivers. Lincoln police have made 81 DUI arrests since extra enforcement hit the streets. That's compared to 44 arrests last year.

Police aren't sure what has caused the jump.

Here's a breakdown of the DUI Arrests:
- 62 of those are arrested are men
- Average age is 24
- Nine 20-year-olds arrested
- average BAC .164

2012: (so far) 81
2011: 44
2010: 57
2009: 53

The campaign continues through December.
