Lancaster County Sheriff's Office says a teen is facing several charges after he crashed into a pole while driving under the influence and texting.

Deputies say 19-year-old Travis Egan was driving in the 12700 Block of North 14th when he struck and power pole. The damage to the pole caused an outage in the nearby area.

According to reports, Egan was also in possession of marijuana and was under the influence.

Lincoln Police say they've issued 117 citations for texting while driving from 2010 and 2013. LSO estimates that they've issued around 10.
