Lincoln, Neb. – What started as a domestic dispute left one person injured and thousands of dollars in damages to cars and IHOP's building in Lincoln.
Just after 8:00 p.m. Saturday, Lincoln Police were called to the IHOP at 27th and Superior after reports someone had hit the building with a car.
According to Captain Don Scheinost, a domestic dispute erupted in the parking lot and a woman's ex-boyfriend was chasing her and two other people around in the parking lot.
Scheinost said one person was hit then the business was also hit.
After ramming the building, the suspect then chased the woman and hit two parked cars before he drove away.
Scheinost said the damage to the building is estimated at $10,000. The cars are estimated at $2,500 and $3,000.
The injuries to the person struck by the car are not considered life-threatening.
Police are not releasing the name of the suspect but do know who he is and are hoping to make an arrest soon.
