Lincoln Police have arrested a man they say was part of a door to door salesmen fraud.
Forty-eight-year-old Kevin Ballard was arrested for four counts of second degree forgery on Monday.
Police Officer Katie Flood said three women wrote checks for magazine subscriptions to Ballard between the amount of $22 and $46. Flood said three of the women became aware of the situation when they noticed the checks were cashed for $2,800 or more. A fourth victim was later identified.
The city of Lincoln requires peddlers to purchase a permit. You are encouraged to ask to see it anytime someone tries to sell you something at your home.
