Downtown Traffic Lights Out After Early Morning Crash

Lincoln, Neb. Traffic signals were knocked out after a two car crash. Around 3:30am Sunday morning a car and pickup crashed at 12th and O Streets.

A passenger in the truck told 10/11 News they were heading west on O Street and the Northbound car ran the red light.

The driver of the car was transported to the hospital and his injuries are not believed to be life threatening. After the collision the truck knocked over a hydrant and the traffic signal box.

Traffic engineers are working to restore the signals.
