Driver Avoids Cat, Destroys Car in Crash

A driver crashes into a light pole after avoiding a cat in the road.
Around 3:30 Sunday morning, Lincoln Police were called to the 2600 block of Sheridan Blvd. A driver told dispatchers she had swerved to miss a cat and had hit a light pole. She said she was having trouble turning on the 4-way flashers on her car.
Officers arrived to discover her BMW smashed into a concrete light pole. The pole disintegrated into the intersection of Sheridan and Woodscrest Ave.
The driver was transported to Bryan LGH Medical Center West for minor injuries.
The BMW is believed to be a total loss.
