The Nebraska State Patrol says a McCook man was injured when his semi went off the road and tipped over on I-80 near Kearney.
The accident happened around 5:00 Tuesday morning.
NSP says Donald Brush, 73, of McCook was eastbound, pulling a cattle trailer with a 2002 Peterbilt when he went off the road and rolled the truck into the south ditch.
Brush was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney with a broken neck. The hospital says Brush was listed in serious condition as of Tuesday night.
He had 30 head of cattle on board, and troopers say 12 were either killed in the wreck or had to be destroyed.
