Driver Leads Troopers on High Speed Chase

A Papillion man is arrested after leading Nebraska State Patrol Troopers on a high speed chase that reached speeds of 100 mph.

It happened around 4:10 Sunday afternoon on Interstate 80 near exit 420.

Nebraska State Patrol Sergeant Frederic Storm told 10/11 the a trooper pulled the vehicle over near exit 420, when the driver Joseph Jager of Papillion sped away. NSP said the driver led troopers on an 11 mile chase.

Sgt. Storm said around mile marker 413 Jager's car clipped another vehicle. The driver of that car was not hurt.

At mile marker 409, Sgt. Storm said three troopers performed a tactical maneuver that cased Jager's vehicle to hit the median.

NSP said Jager was driving on a suspended license. He will likely face multiple charges including leaving the scene of an accident, fleeing to avoid arrest, felony DUI and felony driving under suspension.
