Who could resist this event? The East Lincoln Business Association is hosting their 1st BaconfEAST, with proceeds benefiting the Food Bank of Lincoln.
On Saturday, February 22, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., BaconfEAST will put the popular pork product center stage at the Lancaster Event Center. More than 20 area food vendors will be providing free samples of tasty bacon creations and battling for the coveted "Bring Home the Bacon" culinary award.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $5 for children 10 and under, and include an afternoon of family fun with food vendor samples, music by the Wheezetones, bacon-eating and hog-calling contests with celebrity judges, and the Pig Pen kids’ entertainment area. Hormel is supplying all vendors with its premium bacon. A cash bar will be provided, as well.
There are only 1,000 tickets are available. For more information and to purchase tickets, log on to www.baconfeastlincoln.com. Also, those interested in participating in BaconfEAST as a food vendor or event sponsor can contact Susan Kirkpatrick at (402) 484-7500 or email@example.com.
