Lancaster County Election Commissioner David Shively joined First New Nebraska on Wednesday to talk about the general election.
He wants to remind voters in Lancaster County about some upcoming deadlines for the November 6 general election.
Early voting begins October 1 by mail or in person at county election offices.
Mail-in voter registrations must be postmarked by October 19. Registrations also end October 19 at motor vehicle offices and state agencies.
In-person voter registration at county offices ends at 6 p.m. October 26. That also is the deadline for registration changes such as updating an address.
People can make requests until 4 p.m. October 31 for early voting ballots to be mailed. November 5 is the deadline for in-person early voting at county election offices.
The close of polls on November 6 is the deadline for the return of early ballots, including ballots returned by mail.
