With the Primary Election just over five weeks away, Lancaster County Election Commissioner David Shively announced some changes to polling stations.

About 60 percent of voters will go to the same station as they went to last time around. Some will change. A post card will be sent in the mail starting Saturday. It will direct voters on where to go.

"Our goal was to consolidate and combine precincts to have a little bit more balance between precincts. In some cases I may have taken two precincts and made them into one. In some cases maybe three precincts were reduced down to two or five precincts were reduced down to four or three in some various areas," said Shively.

There are 178,000 registered voters in Lancaster County. The changes were part of required re-drawing of precincts after the last census. The changes will save the county about $30,000.
