Fog and black ice are likely the cause of multiple accidents Thursday morning.
According to Lancaster County Sheriff's Sergeant Tommy Trotter, a 61-year-old Firth woman is listed in critical condition after a near head-on collision at 68th & Panama Road.
The two SUVs collided at the intersection around 7 a.m. The woman was transported by Lincoln Fire & Rescue to Bryan West with numerous injuries, Trotter says.
According to deputies, a 17-year-old and his 61-year-old father were also transported to an area hospital, both had non life-threatening injuries
Nebraska State Patrol says a five-car pile-up at 14th and Arbor Road delayed traffic for about an hour. Deputies say no serious injuries were reported.
Emergency crews also responded to crashes at 91st and Pine Lake Road and a car vs pedestrian accident at 10th and N Streets around 9 a.m.
