A driver was cited after getting a little too close to the train tracks. So close that the train scraped the side of the car Tuesday around 11:40 a.m.

The driver is okay and just went to the hospital to check out some minor injuries.

The accident happened at NW 27th Street & Wild Rose Lane near Lincoln.

According to Sgt. Valerie Kinghorn, the car was heading east towards Wild Rose Lane when it hit the tracks and noticed a train was coming. The driver reportedly had trouble backing up and the train scraped the car on the driver's side.

There are no arms at the train crossing, only blinking lights and sound.
