Families Come Together to Remember Fallen Veterans

Lincoln, Neb.-- For a group of Nebraskans Saturday morning was about remembering their veteran family members who have fallen.

Dozens of people honored their loved ones with song, prayers and a candle lighting ceremony at the Veteran Affairs auditorium in Lincoln.

One audience member, Leeann David honored her dad, Carl. He passed away on July 29, 2013.

Davis says her dad always thought of other people before himself and considered Carl her personal hero.

"I think of my dad every minute, I own my own restaurant in Kansas and a lot of the food that I cook my I hear my dad's voice, always," said Davis.

Carl was in the Air Force in the Korean War.
