The Grand Island Fire Department says a family will have to find another place to stay tonight after a fire damaged their home at 822 West 14th Street this afternoon.

Fire crews say people were home when the fire started, but they were able to escape and call 911.

Firefighters say the fire started on the porch and spread to the home.

Fire crews say there were no injuries, but the family is displaced because of damage to the home. The Red Cross is assisting the family in finding a place to stay.

Firefighters say they are still investigating a cause.
